How the days until date calculator works
Today's local calendar date is compared with the target date at UTC calendar midnights, so daylight-saving transitions cannot produce a 23- or 25-hour day.

Is today counted?
No. The count measures whole days remaining from today's date to the target date.
What if the date has already passed?
The result states that the target is in the past and reports the elapsed days instead. Use the days since date calculator for past dates.
Which time zone is used?
Your browser's local calendar date supplies today; the target is read as a plain calendar date without a time zone.
